After a long silence since my latest studio effort (The A’Dam Sykles in 2009) it’s exciting for me to be back at work on a bunch of originals and previously uncovered sixties tracks.

Massimo del Pozzo, ownner of MISTY LANE MUSIC- TEEN SOUND RECORDS

"I was psyched when I heard the news that my great friend Massimo was stepping back into the arena with a new band, that being Thee Sydes, four like-minded followers of everything hip and happening whom crossed paths three years back and came together. I was even more psyched upon hearing their new EP, which you have here. Four sonically beautiful numbers best described as part Dylan, part Byrds, a little bit of Love and lots more in-between. Included among their infectious originals is a stellar take on The Tropics’ “As Time’s Gone,” where the group does their magic and makes it their own. As with Massimo’s previous group, THE OTHERS, Thee Sydes will pick up the where they left off as the undisputed garage-psych rulers of the Roman Empire. I absolutely love this band and this record! Can’t wait for the album!”

“Listening to Thee Sydes new EP released on Misty Lane Records, you’d think you were in a time warp and brought back to the 1960's. These tracks sound as if they could have been recorded in 1965, but they were recorded in 2025. One is also reminded how essential the human element is to sound of a great Rock n Roll band. To hell with modern AI recorded music. I’ll take these live breathing musicians and their songs any day. ‘Things Left Behind’ is a standout track. Reminiscent of the best the 1980’s Paisley Underground had to offer.”

of THE THINGS

“My head is swirling! Hi-Fi LSD. The Chocolate Watchband has melted off my wrist. What time is it? San Francisco 1966? Wow, no… Roma 2026! Sixty year time tunnel and sounds, the smells, the shapes and colors have expanded my mind. Take a microdot dose of THEE SYDES. It’s a good trip! Open up your door, you’re goin’ to a Go-Go!”

- Paul M. Martin

of THE VIPERS

"The walls are closing in on all SYDES....but that is just fine. They yell "Keep It Coming"...must be reading your mind?

Sure there is a link between the 4 songs. "Loss" is the unifying element: loss of time...loss of things...and the hard days that shall never return. You know what they mean and if we all have to fade out to oblivion well let's do it together in style...and in this case...in mono"
